1 : c Vanilla wafer crumbs
3/4 : c Soft butter
2 : c Confectioners sugar
2 : Egg yolks
2 : Egg whites
1 : cn (9-oz) crushed pineapple;
-drained : -drained
1/2 : c Pecans or walnuts; chopped
Cherries : Cherries
1 : sm Onion; grated
1 : ts Cooking oil
1/2 : lb Ground beef, lean
1 : ts Salt
1 : ts Cumin
1 : Garlic clove; minced
1/4 : ts Hot sauce; to 1/2 ts.
18 : Tortillas; fresh
2 : c Cheese; shredded
0: In large bowl, whisk warm water with sugar
1: Sprinkle in yeast; let stand for 10 minutes or until frothy
2: Whisk in oil and salt
3: With wooden spoon, briskly stir in 2 1/4 cups flour to make a soft dough
4: Turn out onto lightly floured surface; knead for 8 to 10 minutes, adding enough of the remaining flour to make dough smooth and elastic
5: Place in lightly greased bowl, turning to grease all over
6: Cover with plastic wrap; let rise in a warm, draft-free spot for about 45 minutes, or until double in bulk
7: Punch down dough
8: Stretch into 12 x 8 inch oblongs about 1/2 inch thick
9: Place dough on greased baking sheet and let rest for 10 minutes
10: Topping: With back of spoon press indentations over dough
11: Drizzle hollows with oil; sprinkle with garlic, salt and pepper
12: Sprinkle cheese over all
13: Cover lightly and let rise for 20 minutes or until about 3/4 inch thick
14: Bake on lowest rack in 375 degree F oven for 15 - 20 minutes or until golden
